Chelsea v/s Arsenal(10th December 2006)

The only tie on the Premiership Sunday is to be played at Stamford Bridge at the home of the current League Champions. In this London Derby Arsenal face Chelsea. Chelsea is currently placed second in the table 3 points behind the leaders Manchester United. Looking at the home record of the blues it will be tough for arsenal to get a victory but that's what they will have in mind going there, to get the three points. Chelsea have not lost a single game at home since Jose Maurinho arrived at the Bridge. Looking at the Arsenal away form, it has not been very good this season. They have lost four games, two in the last week and have created a "crisis" situation for themselves. The gunner skipper Theirry Henry is out with a sciatic nerve for a few weeks and William Gallas is also not available for the match. Kolo Toure is also suspended for the match after picking up five yellow cards. So it seems that the central defence will be all Swiss with Djourou and Senderos in the center. The young swiss defence will be facing the likes of Didier Drogba and Andrei Shevchenko. The midfeild for Arsenal is solid as always with Fabregas, Gilberto, Hleb and Ljungberg. Arsenal will be most probably playing with a 4-5-1 formation with Adebayor as the lone striker and Van Persie will be the support striker.

The team formation could be like:

-----------------Lehmann------------------

Eboue-----Senderos----Djourou------Clichy

----------------Gilberto--------------------

----------Fabregas--------Ljungberg-------

-----Hleb----------------------Van Persie--

---------------Adebayor--------------------
