Van Persie out for Six Weeks

Arsenal FC striker Robin van Persie is a major doubt for both legs of the Gunners' UEFA Champions League second round tie against PSV Eindhoven after breaking a metatarsal bone in his right foot.
'Partial fracture'
The Netherlands international sustained the "partial fracture" while scoring the equaliser for Arsenal in their 2-1 comeback win against Manchester United FC in the Premiership on Sunday. An x-ray after the game confirmed his fifth metatarsal had been damaged and he is likely to be out of action for at least six weeks.

Player Profile: 25. Emmanuel Adebayor
Emmanuel arrived from French side Monaco during the January transfer window and immediately offered Arsenal a new dimension in attack where his height, strength and deceptive pace makes him an awkward opponent for any defender. The lanky striker scored after 21 minutes of his debut at Birmingham and netted three times in four appearances during March and April. He also provided a good foil for Thierry Henry, who benefited from Emmanuel's willingness to challenge defenders in the air and hold the ball up under pressure.
Emmanuel made his first-team debut for Metz in French Ligue 1 at the age of 17 before collecting a Champions League runners-up medal with Monaco in 2004. More recently he finished top scorer in the African Zone qualifiers with 11 goals as Togo reached their first World Cup finals.
Emmanuel played in each of Togo's three group games in Germany and was unfortunate not to win a penalty when he was tripped in the area during his country's decisive defeat against Switzerland. His good form in pre-season suggests he will be an important member of Arsenal's squad this term.
Adebayor scored Arsenal's winning goal against rivals Manchester United, to give Arsenal a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, their first league win of the 2006-07 season. Cristiano Ronaldo lost possession of the ball to Cesc Fàbregas, who then threaded a through ball to Adebayor, who stroked the ball under goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak.
