Goals: Liverpool 3-6 Arsenal

Goal by goal story of the nine Goal Thriller.

1st Goal: CB Kolo Toure spots the run of CF Jeremie Aliadiere and sends brilliant lobbed
through ball. Ali beats the offside tra[ gest a great first touch on the ball to take the ball
away from Dudek and Dudek puts a hand to it but its not enough. Arsenal lead 0-1.



2nd Goal: Song fouls outside the box, Gerrard and Aurelio stand for the kick. Aurelio drills in
a low shot and Robbie Fowler scores on a rebound. Liverpool level 1-1.




3rd Goal: Arsenal 19 year old Brazil under-19 Captain Denilson is fouled by Paletta outside the
box. Kolo toure known for his drilled shots stands there with Julio Baptista. Toure starts moving from his position but Julio takes the kick and beats Dudek for the first time with a curled free kick. Arsenal lead 1-2.



4th Goal: Game goes is in injury period for 6 minutes due to the Gonzalez injury. Arsenal gets a corner on the left side. Cesc Fabregas takes it and curls it in the centre . Ball travels over the whole of Liverpool defence and Dudek is beaten again as ball goes in credit Alex Song. Arsenal lead 1-3.



5th Goal: Still in injury period literally for Liverpool. Toure gives a through pass to Baptista , he dribbles it to the left sides and passes to Ali. Liverpool raises hands for offside but only its not offside. Ali goes through and gives a square ball to Baptista and Arsenal lead 1-4.



6th Goal: The game enters the second half with the homeside trailing by 3 goals. 10 minutes into it and Aliadiere is tripped by Hyypia in the penalty area and Baptista comes up to take the spot kick and chance to complete his Hatrick but Dudek stops it this time. Liver goes on the attack again then Fabregas known for his vision on the Football pitch spots Ali in the last third and gives a curling lobbed pass from defence to attack. Ali showing great control and quality gives a square ball to Baptista and he fired in a low shot into the corner from outside the box to complete his hatrick. Arsenal lead 1-5.



7th Goal: Liverpool had still something to show their home fans. Xabi Alonso took the free kick
from 50 yards away and sends it to Hyppia on the left of goal who heads it to Paletta who then
sets up a volley for who else but Steven Gerrard and he doesnt miss those. Liverpool scores 2-5.





8th Goal: Liverpool were attacking with Xabi and Gerrard in the midfeild. Paletta got the ball
on the left flank and crossed it in to Hyypia who headed it past Almunia. Liverpool 3-5.



9th Goal: Red Devils were on the attack one more goal and they could be in the fight again. But
not to be Aliadiere got to the byline again and squared for Baptista again. The Brazilian scored his fourth to end Liverpool's resistance. Match ends with Arsenal winning 3-6. complete his hatrick. Arsenal lead 1-5.
